As from March the 1st 2008 Balmoral Bar Part 2 was launched, consisting of a much larger terrace, and a games room full of fun Although the bar will be expanding nothing will change at all, we will still be open from 8 oclock in the morning serving breakfast main meals and snacks until we close. For those of you who come on holiday and cant bare to miss your teams match we have good news for you. Next year we will have at least four plasmas outside with the possibility of a large screen in the new games room. At the minute we are screening 10 out of 10 Premiership matches over a weekend with a few SPL matches thrown in, we also show the Rugby, F1, and all othe major sports events. After all the football has finished its straight on to Karaoke where you can choose from over 40,000 songs from the past and present, with loads of great offers all night, the bar really gets going around at 10 oclock lasting right through til the last person leaves. The iconic Cafe Mambo sits in the centre of what has become known as the sunset strip in San Antonio. Established in 1994 by Javier Anadon and against all advice, the original small ibicencan and derelict house has become a prevailing force in the dance music industry. With international Djs of the calibre of Pete Tong, Roger Sanchez, Paul Oakenfold and Frankie Knuckles playing regular sets..(For free!!) not to mention appearances by Groove Armada, Faithless, BodyRockers, Danni Minogue (to name a few) Café Mambo has firmly established itself as a visionary frontrunner in a highly competitive field.

Beloved by locals and celebrated by tourists, in a few years Café Mambo has become a magnet for bona fide musical talent.

The Ibicencan Sunset has been serenaded for centurys but never as seductively as at Café Mambo.
To listen to the strains of such classics as The sound of silence by Simon and Garfunkel (genius) while sipping a mojito and slowly watching the sun dissapear into the med with its Midas touch is bewitching.
With the significance of another night just beginning in Ibiza not lost on the thousands of spectators every summer, the sunset is a legendary start to the night ahead.

In 2007 Café Mambo was honoured for the second time with the prestigious Dj Award for the best Bar in Ibiza. This was international recognition for the marked contribution Café Mambo has made to the island, changing the way people perceive San Antonio within the music industry and generally making a tangible difference to the way bars and restaurants think in Ibiza. The Customer has become a priority and levels of service have risen thanks to the flawlessness of places like Café Mambo, Savannah and Villa Mercedes.

Originally a derelict house which just happened to be facing one of the most Famous sunsets in the world, the shrewdness of the Mambo team have ensured that its original personality has not been lost. The bar is decorated with tradional Ibicencan features such as mosaics and marble and the terrace (new in 2007) has been designed to compliment the surrounding area. Coupled with state of the art sound technology, free wifi, a contemporary menu and of course THAT view. Mambo is a flourishing example of a fusion of old and new with an injection of pioneer spirit essential to creating a thriving business.

Being on the sharp end of forward thinking in Ibiza has led to Café Mambo hosting many of the island´s exclusive and renowned parties.
Most famously Radio 1 has used Mambo as the central base for its infamous weekender featuring live broadcasts on Radio 1 including Pete Tong´s essential selection and events hosted by Vernon Kay and Tess Daley.
Galaxy FM Radio has also long collaborated with Café Mambo with live broadcasts and performances including Roger Sanchez, Axwell, Wally Lopez, Satoshi Tomei and Lisa Lashes to name a few.

A day in the life of CAFE MAMBO

As those of you who enjoyed the fab Kilties opening party will be well aware, one key person was missing out on all the fun and festivities. Manager and live wire Jane was conspicuous by her absence…where was the chant of “lets get oun it?!!” and who was there to challenge you to yet another depth charge or twist your arm to have another Irn Bru and Red Bull shooter?!!! Poorly Jane was wrapped up at home nursing a broken rib and trying not to think about her beloved Kilties Bar. Luckily her right hand lady Michelle was on hand to take over proceedings and to ensure all partying continued in the nature to which we are all accustomed! Three Cheers for Michelle!! Well good news folks..Jane is on the mend and is soon to be seen dancing on the bar at Kilties yet again!!!! In true Kilties fashion a wee celebration of Jane’s recovery will be taking place in the very near future at Kilties where we can all wish her good health and take a wee dram or two to ensure it!!!! Watch this space to find out when the celebrations begin!!!

Es Paradis was first opened in August 1975 by the owner Pepe Aguirre together with the artist Lluís Güell, who is also the creator of Café del Mar. It quickly became a referent point of the ibicencan night.
The original and spectacular decoration, predominantly white (very common in Ibiza) and the enormous natural gardens, makes Es Paradis a unique place, recognised as the most beautiful club in the Mediterranean, or as described by international press, “Breath takingly Beautiful”.

Es Paradis was first thought of as an open air club, but in 1990 local regulations made it compulsory to close in all music establishments and this is how one of the most emblematic and recognisable elements of Ibiza was born: The Es Paradis Pyramid, a 120 ton ceiling that opens with the first morning sunbeams to announce that, unfortunately, the night is over.
Our parties are livened up by the best DJ’s in the world, such as Tall Paul, Sonique, Todd Ferry or Danny Rampling and many celebrities also enjoy themselves with us such as the Spanish actor Miguel Ángel Muñoz (great fan of our Water Party), Fatman Scoop, Jade Jagger, Puff Daddy or Mel C (former Spice Girl), who picked Es Paradis for her videoclip “I turn to you”.
